Dear Visitor!
Welcome to the homepage of our Embassy!
It is a great honour for me to serve as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary tothe Kingdom of Thailand as of November 2025. Our goal at the Embassy is to develop the already well-established bilateral relations between our countries while encouraging new opportunities of cooperation in various sectors in order to reach tangible results.
Thailand – as a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as well as being the second largest economy in the regional bloc – is considered a major driving force in the region, thus – in line with our Eastern Opening policy – it is important for Hungary to foster ties with Bangkok in terms of business, economics, education, tourism and the labour force market. Over the last decades, plenty of Thai nationals decided to visit Hungary either for purposes of relaxation or seeking employment. Despite the geographical distance of 9.000 km-s dividing our nations and our cultural differences, we have always been on a mutual ground of understanding, which is based on shared respect and non-interference into each other’s domestic politics.
One of my greatest ambitions during my mission is, to facilitate the improvement of economic ties between the nations and to encourage more and more local companies to invest in Hungary. As the Ambassador, it is of significant importance to me to help nurture connections between Thai and Hungarian companies and investors.
Together with the staff of the Embassy we are dedicated to provide a platform for discussion between the two countries, including governmental officials, business leaders, educators and interested citizens.
This webpage serves as a guideline and a way for people to reach out for advice, a platform of connection. It also provides information and news regarding the most important events concerning the Embassy and Thai-Hungarian relations.
