Representing the outgoing presidency of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), the Embassy of Hungary screened the Academy Award-Winning Hungarian film, Son of Saul in Bangkok. The Embassy invited the entire Diplomatic Corps to the event. Several ambassadors and deputy heads of missions were present at the Lido Cinema, as well as the representatives of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, university lecturers and students. In his introductory speech prior to the screening, Ambassador Peter Jakab discussed the most important achievement of Hungary’s IHRA presidency as well as the Hungarian Government’s zero tolerance policy against anti-Semitism and racism in general.
