The third ASEM Meeting for Governors and Mayors was held in Bangkok between the 11th and 14th of March 2015. The Hungarian capital Budapest was represented by Mayor István Tarlós. During the event, representatives of important Asian and European cities have exchanged their experiences concerning the impact of environmental issues, traffic and transportation as well as tourism management. Mr. István Tarlós had bilateral talks with M.R. Sukhumband Paribatra, Governor of Bangkok and extended to him an invitation to visit Budapest. Taking the opportunity of staying in Bangkok Mayor István Tarlós delivered a speech on 13th March at the National Day reception organized by the Hungarian Embassy on the occasion of commemorating the 167th anniversary of the revolution of 1848 and met the Hungarian community of Bangkok.
