Dr. Péter Jakab, Ambassador of Hungary paid a courtesy call to Dr. Bodin Rassameethes, President of Kasetsart University on 20th January 2014. Vice-Presidents for Academic Affairs and Research, as well as the university’s experts in charge of international relations were present at the meeting. The two parties discussed the possibilities of co-operation between the university and its potential Hungarian partner universities in the field of student exchange and scientific research. Kasetsart University, a regionally renowned education center and the largest university in Thailand with 64 thousand students, has recently established co-operation with the Hungarian University of Sciences of Pécs. The first group of Hungarian exchange students will arrive to Thailand this year, and a Hungarian expert in tropical agriculture will pursue his PhD studies at the Kasetsart soon. The prestigious Thai University in Bangkok is ready to exchange students and establish scientific co-operation with other Hungarian universities, too. Kasetsart would be pleased to send its students to Hungarian universities for study tours. In order to encourage the development of the Hungarian connection, the President of Kasetsart University offered 2 MBA scholarships for Hungarian students, the terms of which will be specified later.
