Embassy Hosts Water Forum

The Water Forum titled “Water-saving Technologies for a Green City” organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Bangkok was a great success, with representatives across the full spectrum of Thailand’s water and renewables sector. The forum was opened by Amorn Kitchawengkul, deputy governor of Bangkok. Bangkok and the Hungarian capital Budapest are sister cities. The aim of the organizers was to kick start cooperation and regular dialogue between Thailand’s water resources management authorities and their Hungarian counterparts and find specific areas of project cooperation between Thai and Hungarian enterprises.

The aim of the organizers was to kick start cooperation and regular dialogue between Thailand’s water resources management authorities and their Hungarian counterparts and find specific areas of project cooperation between Thai and Hungarian enterprises. The forum was a good opportunity for major Hungarian water companies to showcase their technologies and expertise in water and wastewater treatment, while some offered unique innovations in waste-heat recovery. The event is the first in a series of Water Forums the Embassy is planning to organize in the coming years in order to make a contribution to meeting Thailand’s most crucial water challenges, draught, floods, and water quality.
