In an exclusive interview with Spring News TV, a nationwide Thai news channel, Peter Jakab, Hungary’s recently appointed ambassador to Thailand discussed ”Eastern Opening”, Hungary's new policy of developing stronger cooperation with partners in Asia, as well as the Embassy’s new focus on strengthening economic and trade relations with Thailand. He pointed out that Hungary’s highly diverse and supreme quality export portfolio makes the country an ideal trading partner for Asian countries. In the interview, aired on the program The Diplomat, the ambassador described Hungary as an attractive investment environment and a vibrant tourist destination. A number of typical Hungarian products were introduced during the interview, while Mr. Jakab spoke appreciatively about Thailand’s biggest ever investment in Hungary, the opening of Thai President Food’s instant noodles production plant in Esztergom.
