On 13 September 2024, at an official press conference, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Pojjana Paniangvait, Director of the Hungarian plant of Thai President Foods (TPF), announced the HUF 18 billion expansion project of TPF's Esztergom plant with HIPA funding. Following the announcement at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and a bilateral meeting between the Minister and the TPF management, a ground-breaking ceremony was held in Esztergom on 16 September, during which Director Pojjana Paniangvait and Thailand's Ambassador to Budapest, Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, were joined by Ambassador Sándor Sipos, who delivered a welcome speech.
