The European Commission and the Department of Livestock Development of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives co-organized an international seminar on Control of Animal Diseases - Regionalisation on the 5th of June 2018 in Bangkok. 

Senior officials of the relevant Thai authorities and representatives of the European Commission, EU Member States, industrial representatives, academia and other stakeholders participated in the seminar.

During the second session of the seminar Dr Lajos Bognár, chief veterinary officer of Hungary, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture presented to the audience the Hungarian experiences on disease control management and its success in preventing the spread of bird flu through trade by applying the World Organization for Animal Health’s principle of regionalisation.
