The EXIM credit agreement and the commercial contract related to the Hungarian-Lao tied aid credit program were signed in Vientiane on 26th April, 2016. The EXIM credit agreement was signed by Margit Labancz, Director of the Hungarian EXIM Bank and by Thipphakone Chanthavongsa, Vice Minister of the Laotian Ministry of Finance. The commercial contract was signed by László Váradi, CEO of Vitafort Agro Asia Co., and Somphanh Changpengxaya, Director General of the Department of Livestock and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. On behalf of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Bálint Tombor, Chief Political Advisor and Réka Bencsik, Commercial Counsellor of the Hungarian Embassy attended the signing ceremony. The main objective of the agricultural cooperation program is to develop the Laotian Food Chain Safety System based on Hungarian technical assistance and expertise.
