Hungarian Olympic Champions in Bangkok!
We have the honour to welcome two great champions this week at the Bangkok SportAccord Convention. Attila Mizsér pentathlonist (Gold in Seoul 1988, Silver in Barcelona 1992) and Dániel Gyurta swimmer (Gold in London 2012, Silver in Athens 2004) joined 1500 delegates of International Sport Federations and leaders of the world of sport at the largest annual sports conference. Budapest is a Global Partner for the 16th edition of the World Sport & Business Summit taking place from 15 - 20 April in Bangkok.
Our capital is a new force among sports host cities with a great sporting future ahead. Ranked second in the Sportcal Global Sport Cities Index 2017-2023, Budapest hosted the hugely successful FINA Aquatics World Championships and World Judo Championships in 2017. Chosen as the European Capital of Sport for 2019, Budapest will host five world championships with the aim of firmly establishing itself as a leading host city for major events.
