The 60th Anniversary of Establishing Diplomatic Relations between Myanmar and Hungary was celebrated in Yangon at a reception hosted by the Hungarian Embassy and our Honorary Consul. More than two hundred guests attended the event, among them Ministers, Members of Parliament, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps and companies doing business with Hungary as well as the local Hungarian community. Celebratory speeches were delivered on behalf of the Government of Myanmar by H.E. U Kyaw Tin, Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and H. E. Peter Jakab, Ambassador of Hungary, who emphasized the similar histories of the two nations in terms of the democratic political and economic transition.
