His Excellency Mr. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary attended the ASEM Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Nay Pyi Daw, Myanmar between 20-21 November 2017 and held bilateral meetings with H. E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and H. E. Ms. Apiradi Tantraporn, Minister of Commerce of Thailand in Bangkok as well as paying an official bilateral visit to Myanmar.

The 64th YWCA Diplomatic Charity Bazaar took place between 17 and 19 November in Central World Shopping Mall, Bangkok. The income generated during the event is donated for charity every year.

Our Embassy participated at the exhibition organized by the Delegation of the European Union under the title ’Study and Research Oppoirtunities in Europe’ in Vientiane on 31 October - 1 November 2017. We promoted the already highly popular Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme, which gained a great interest at the event, because it involves all the faculties and all levels of higher education at the universities of Hungary, as well as providing a free scholarship and a stipend covering all of the expenses.

In remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, upon the solemn occasion of the Royal Cremation Ceremony of His Majesty the late King, the Embassy of Hungary expresses again its deepest sympathy and most sincere condolences to the Royal Family and the Thai people on the passing of His Majesty Rama IX, Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Thailand H. E. Mr. Teerakiat Jareonsettasin and the Hungarian Ambassador representing the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary signed the Educational and Scientific Exchange Programme between Hungary and Thailand in the Ministry of Education on 12 October 2017.
