Promgrammes on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the birth of Zoltán Kodály

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the birth of the great Hungarian composer and ethnomusicologist Zoltán Kodály, the Embassy of Hungary in Bangkok organized an open-air piano concert and workshops to introduce Kodály’s works, followed by multiple presentations of the world-famous Kodály-method (inscribed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage) for various age groups. Hungarian pianist Marcell Pető performed an open-air public piano concert on the bandstand of Bangkok’s central Lumphini Park on 27th April, 2017. Works of Kodály performed at the concert attracted numerous Bangkokian music-lovers to the pavilion.
