H.E. Mr. István Jakab, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary – represented H.E. Mr. László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary – paid an official visit in Thailand between 3-9 February, 2020. The purpose of the visit was to develop the parliamentary relations.
The President of the Hungarian Constitutional Court visited Thailand
H.E. Mr. Tamás Sulyok, President of the Hungarian Constitutional Court, paid an official visit to Thailand at the invitation extended by H.E. Mr. Nurak Marpraneet, President of the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Thailand, in the second week of January 2020.
Hungarian President visited Lao PDR
H. E. János Áder, President of the Republic of Hungary paid an official visit to the Lao PDR, on October 24-27, at the invitation of President Bounnhang Vorachith to enhance the relations and cooperation between Laos and Hungary in multiple areas, especially in the field of sustainable development, water management, agriculture and education. President Áder held talks with his Laotian counterpart Bounnhang Vorachith, Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and National Assembly President Pany Yathotu.
H.E. Szilveszter Bus visits Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon
On 27 September 2019, H.E. Szilveszter Bus, Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand paid an official visit to H. E. Prawit Wongsuwon, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, who is also responsible to supervise the Office of National Water Resources. At the meeting, H.E Szilveszter Bus handed over the invitation of H.E Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary to the Deputy Prime Minister to attend the Budapest Water Summit in 2019. During the visit Ambassador Bus outlined Hungary’s flagship role in the field of water diplomacy and technology, while Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon praised Hungary’s water diplomacy activities, welcomed the ever closer cooperation between the two countries in the field of water management, and expressed his appreciation to Hungary for its higher education scholarships to Thai students.
