On 8th of February 2019 Ambassador Szilveszter Bus visited His Excellency Chatchai Sarikulya, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand also responsible for Thailand’s water management policy by overseeing the Office of Natural Water Resources.

It was a pleasure to pay a courtesy call on His Excellency Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Transport of Thailand. Ambassador Szilveszter Bus emphasized that Hungary may be a small country in size but quite significant when it comes to infrastructure thanks to its central location in Europe at crossroads of European transportation routes and the highly developed and dense transportation network.

We hereby inform our Customers, that the payment system of consular fees will be changed at the Embassy of Hungary in Bangkok from 1 February 2019. The previously used cash payment in EUR will be cancelled, and from the 1 February 2019 only bank payment in THB will be accepted at the Consulate of Hungary in Bangkok. Our customers will receive a bank payment voucher and the amount of the consular fee to be paid at the Embassy, and will be able to manage the payment at Bangkok Bank (1 minute walking distance from our Embassy).

A Thaiföldet fenyegető „Pabuk” trópusi ciklon várhatóan jelentős vihart és közlekedési fennakadásokat okoz 2019 január 4-6-án a turisták által kedvelt dél-thaiföldi országrészben, elsősorban Nakhon Si Thammarat, Koh Samui, Phuket és Krabi térségében. A hajóforgalom leáll, a repterek is csak a körülmények folyamatos értékelése mellett üzemelnek. A ciklon mérsékelt ereje miatt jelentős elsődleges károk nem várhatók, hirtelen áradások azonban bárhol előfordulhatnak. On 26 November Ambassador Szilveszter Bus visited Mr. Sakoltee Phattiyakul, Deputy Governor of Bangkok in his office. Budapest and Bangkok have been sister cities since 1997. Budapest is one of the two European capitals with which Bangkok has such agreement.
